CERN's director for accelerators and technology Steve Myers is on the nominations list for the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering, a new global engineering prize that will reward and celebrate an individual (or up to three individuals) responsible for a ground-breaking innovation in engineering that has been of global benefit to humanity.
The first winner of the £1 million prize - selected by a distinguished and eminent panel of judges from across the world – will be announced today at 1pm GMT.
