The 50th Rencontres de Moriond is taking place in La Thuile, Italy. The first week – in session until 21 March - is devoted to the theme "Electroweak interactions and unified theories".
Don't miss today's live webcast at 5.30pm, in which physicists Daniel Treille and Guido Altarelli will retrace the evolution of ideas in physics across the past 50 years of Moriond meetings.
The webcast will be available to watch live here today from 5.30pm to 8.30pm CET.
Since its foundation by Jean Tran Thanh Van in 1966, the Rencontres de Moriond have brought together theorists and experimentalists for in-depth discussions on recent findings and new ideas in elementary particle physics. The Rencontres are intended to promote fruitful collaborations by allowing a small number of scientists to meet in inspiring surroundings, with opportunities for young scientists to present their work
Sessions on “QCD and high-energy interactions” and “Gravitation: 100 years after GR” are taking place on 22-29 March.
