CP violation in $D_0\rightarrow K_s K_s$ [LHCb, TH]

Where:

4/2-011 at CERN

CP violation in charm has only been observed in a single measurement, the difference in CP asymmetries in decays of neutral charm mesons to dipion and dikaon final states, with the likely source of the CP violation in the dipion final states. It is thus critical to explore additional final states in order to understand if the CP violation can be accommodated within the standard model or not. For this collider cross-talk, the decay of the neutral charm to a pair of short-lived neutral kaons will be discussed, with both the theory interest in these decays and how experimental challenges have been overcome using novel strategies in exploiting the new LHCb detector and its fully software trigger system.
